How long does a consumer unit replacement take?
A standard domestic consumer unit replacement usually takes around one working day, including inspection, testing and certification. We’ll confirm timings once we’ve checked your existing installation.
Will I be without power?
Yes, the power will be off while the new unit is fitted and tested. We’ll let you know what to expect before we start.
Do I need a new consumer unit for an EV charger?
Not always. We check whether your existing board can safely take the new circuit during the survey.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. You’ll receive an electrical installation certificate, and the work is notified to building control as required.
Which consumer unit brands do you fit?
We’re not tied to one manufacturer. We recommend equipment to suit your installation, specification and budget.
What guarantee do I get?
All our installation work comes with a 12-month PES Electrical Services workmanship guarantee. The consumer unit and its components are also covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
