Is my roof suitable for solar panels?
Orientation, pitch, shading and roof condition all play a part. We check all of this during the initial survey before recommending a system.
Can I add a battery later?
Yes, batteries can be added to many existing solar systems. We'll design your system so it's ready for one.
Do I need planning permission?
Most domestic installations don't, but listed buildings and conservation areas can be different. We'll advise during the survey.
How long does installation take?
As a guide, a smaller domestic system of around six panels usually takes 2–3 working days, and larger systems with battery storage can take up to around a week. We’ll confirm the installation programme once we’ve surveyed and designed your system.
What warranty do I get?
Hanchu equipment comes with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty as standard. Other equipment is covered by its manufacturer’s warranty, confirmed in your system proposal, and our installation work is covered by the PES Electrical Services workmanship guarantee.
Can I monitor my system?
Yes. When we commission your system we set you up on the manufacturer’s monitoring app and show you how it all works at handover.
Do you install solar for businesses?
