Do I need solar panels to have a battery?
No. A standalone battery can charge during cheaper off-peak periods and power your home when electricity costs more.
Can you add a battery to my existing solar?
Yes, batteries can be added to many existing solar installations. We’ll check your system is suitable during the survey.
What size battery do I need?
It depends on how much electricity you use and when. We size the battery around your actual usage at the survey stage.
Which battery brands do you install?
We install all major brands and recommend the right one for your property. We have particular experience with Hanchu systems.
What warranty do I get?
Hanchu batteries come with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty as standard. Other equipment is covered by its manufacturer’s warranty, and our installation work is covered by the PES Electrical Services workmanship guarantee.
Can I monitor my battery?
Yes. We set you up on the manufacturer’s monitoring app when we commission your system and show you how it works at handover.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the system and whether it’s being installed alongside solar. Larger solar and battery installations can take up to around a week. We’ll confirm timings after your survey.
