Full or Partial Rewires
As you move into a new property or the time may have come to give your current wiring an upgrade, a full or partial rewiring on a property is something that should only be carried out by a fully qualified, registered electrician.
As an NICEIC Domestic Installer and NICEIC Approved contractor, you can be confident that we will carry out all your electrical requirements in full compliance of BS7671 – wiring regulations.
To summarise, a full rewiring takes place over 2 phases:
- The first phase, know as the first fix, takes place before any plastering work is started & where possible, at the same time as any services, plumbing and heating for example. This phase involves the removal and replacement of all wiring within the property.
- The second phase, known as the second fix, takes place after the property has been re-plastered & the condition of the overall property is sound. This phase involves the installation of any sockets, plates, light fittings, fans, cookers & electric showers, to name a few examples. This will then be followed by the initial verification of the install where we will test all new circuits and issue you the customer with all the relevant certification.
Depending on the condition of your current wiring, it may be possible to only have to carry out a partial re-wiring. In order to determine this, one of our trained electricians will carry out an Electrical installation condition report & advise you from there.
PES Electrical Services takes great pride in being members of the NICEIC, for more information on the specifics of a full or partial re-wire, the NICIEC have created a fact sheet.
